There are a variety of daily excursions available for your visit to Costa Rica. Take advantage of set packages available as listed below, or request custom packages. Though walking may seem like an option to nearby San Ramon, it is not recommended due to the highway traffic. POAS VOLCANO TOUR: This is a full 1 day tour package starting with a tour of the Doka coffee plant, in which we see a real coffee plantation and all the processing phases, from plant and beans to the final product. Next, the Poas Volcano National Park tour offers a hike from the cloud forest all the way to the crater in a 45 minute hike. The next stop is the La Paz Waterfalls Gardens tour, where we have a lunch and relax, then after which we look at butterflies, snakes, frogs, and birds. ARENAL VOLCANO TOURS: The volcano and surrounding town of La Fortuna provides for a variety of half or full day excursions. This is a tourism area you will not want to miss. TURUBARI TROPICAL FOREST TOURS: The Turubari Tropical Forest is a unique tropical park; an expanse of 595 acres where you will discover an immense butterfly collection, exclusive botanical collections, amazing forest trails, parts of Costa Rica's cultural history, and, of course, exciting adventure tours listed below. SAN JOSE DOWNTOWN TOUR: The San Jose tour is a full day and starts at Zoo Avenue. Here, we will see many kinds of birds and other animals, such as toucans, macaws, lapas, monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles, and much more. The second stop is at the Plaza de la Cultura, which features the National Theater (opera house), Grand Hotel Costa Rica, Gold Museum, Central Park, and the Cathedral of San Jose. The next stops are at the National Museum and the Artist Market, showcasing the history of Costa Rica. Last, we drive back while visting various old buildings and parks along the way. SHOPPING TOUR: This tour goes to Sarchi, the cradle of Costa Rican handcrafts. Among the many shops, you will find items of leather, jewelry, toys, as well as accessories of bronze, wood, and other materials. This is the absolute best place to find wonderful souvenirs of your trip to Costa Rica.
